A stronger
local community
starts with us

Count Me In

Small contributions. Shared decisions. Lasting community impact.

What if we all chipped in to make our community a better place? Count Me In brings local people, families and businesses together to support community-led projects, with a say in where the money goes. Every contribution helps shape our region's future.

About Community First

Herd of cattle grazing beneath large trees while a horseback rider herds them across a grassy field.

Founded in Community, Built for the Future.

Community First Foundation is a new, independent, not-for-profit charity. We bring together people who care about our region, supporting community-led initiatives that address local priorities.

Our inaugural funding came through the Monash University led, Fire to Flourish program, with foundational support from the Paul Ramsay Foundation and Metal Manufactures Pty Ltd.

Our Story

Sunlight shines through eucalyptus trees above a moss-covered rock surrounded by white wildflowers.

Local priorities. Lasting benefits.

Our focus is on helping local communities identify and respond to the priorities that matter to them. Through community-led initiatives, local funding and collaboration, we aim to strengthen connections, support resilience and wellbeing, care for our environment and help communities respond to unexpected challenges.

Our Impact

Local knowledge. Responsible governance.

Community First Foundation is guided by a locally based board, bringing together experience across community leadership, finance, government relations, operations, governance and philanthropy.

Grants & Funding

Community First Foundation supports initiatives that respond to local priorities across the Greater Tenterfield and Border Region.

Our approach is grounded in local knowledge, with grants allocated through community-led decision-making by people who understand the needs and opportunities within our towns.

Our Region,
Our Communities

Community First Foundation supports the villages and communities that make up the Tenterfield Region. From our larger townships to our smaller rural communities, every place has its own character, local strengths and people who care about its future.

Our region is home to a diverse mix of communities, and we want everyone to know they have a place in the future of CFF.
